Like fr, I really don't get what the issue is with just talking with people. Assuming everyone is going to just run after you and guess what the fuck you want is one of the most annoying features a being can have. If you really want to do something or learn from someone, interact with them!
Also I really don't know how I want to handle this page. It started of as a hobby but is getting boring. Maybe I'll make some cybersec content here one day when my life is a little less dense(?). I'm thinking about maybe starting a video series on how to cyber sec but am still lookig for a setup for this.
The good news is, that I didn't die last week, which is great! The bad news is... well, not that important but I finally finished a project very dear to my heart. Last week I built a minecraft themed alarm clock. I also added a ESP32C6 inside and wired a button and the speaker to it. I am now able to make a web request to my Pandaboy ESP32 and it starts playing sounds! I also added some alarm code to my Raspi2.0. It checks for new events in a calender and if there is a reminder or an event due in this minute it notifies the ESP to play a little tune. If you liked this project and maybe want to build a similar one yourself you can just write me an email. I'm gwin and this is gwin's space so I think you can guess my email address.
If anyone reads this, I wish you merry christmas and all the usual phrases. Let's hope for a nice 2026 and trains that are on time!
Aight so now that the base setup is running and some additional services are running I'm quite happy with the setup. Currently I'm wondering what to do next. I think some day I'll publish some writeups and force myself to make notes during ctf. Maybe I'll just continue writing this blog to plan what I'm going to do next or comment on some stuff that really annoys me. I just can't keep venting to every person I know irl. Sharing some nice cat or bee pictures could be nice too.
Dear diary, today I killed my raspi because I'm retarded. Please save me from the suffering that is my existance. That lil' piece of shit was my first steps into networking.
Raspi if you can hear me, it was not your fault. You will be reborn one day without a shitty sd card that decides to break down randomly. Also I need you to keep my setup running because without you my switch doesn't have power. Jesus christ I'm retarded.
Aight so for today this little project is going to go in a more complex direction so I have a lot of stuff to set up. I got more than enough time since I'm unable to work today tho, yay T_T
After some tries we got https working with certbot. I mean it's pretty straight forward using the documentation but that requires:
So yea, making it work was quite a challenge for the ol' monkey brain but we live and I forgot where I was going with that thought. The bad thing about this is, that I forgot the styling for html list elements which I need to add ugh ~_~
Note to self: I should really stop saving, commiting, pushing and deploying within a single breath since I edited that fucking post 3 times.
We have successfully lift off with this super cool star background! I mean it's not really random but it's only CSS and I guess it works.
Btw. in case you want to copy anything of this blog, please just do so.
Some of you might be wondering, why even make a blog just for yourself? Well I'll tell you my reason: Because as a retired software engineer my web and infrastructure skills suck more ass than a leech in a tropical river waiting for tourists.
This blog will therefore be my first try in making something I like and do only for myself. Maybe I can even learn something from it.
